I think that a change of style every once in a while can be a good thing. And looking at this picture, I can say with absolute sincerity that you continue to exceed expectations.

I know other artists have had ideas similar to this: Twilight's first day of school. But I've never seen one quite like this one. It really gives off a generally positive feel. Seeing Twilight so giddy tells me that she's looking forward to the day ahead.

And when I look at Shining Armor, I see that he gives off that "Big Brother Best Friend" vibe that Twilight talks about. You've really captured his character. I also noticed the dragon cover on his phone (a very nice touch, by the way).

You focus on what's really important: keeping the characters the main focus of the picture while creating a background that is beautiful but doesn't overshadow them.
