Where it all began bros…..
going old school if you want to call it that here. Still baffles me it’s been going for 2 years now: wow:
I thought the first episode title card should mimic the style of the show instead of being painted detailed and over the top. Because just like comics do sometimes a title card can mislead you to what the shows design actually looks like
and that can make or break a deal for me
. Not with FIM though and it happens in printed media more then tv.
This one took longer then over a barrel. Two reasons one because it’s a two prater. And two I tried to draw it without any guidelines just blocks of colour on different layers it came oput rather well considering I had no real sketch to follow.
To make more work for myself I actually want to make a separate illustration for the second part of the pilot because I have a dramatic movie type image in my head for that no spoilers though.
MLP title cards because why not the creative team behind the show deserves it.
I want to make one for every episode with its own quirky style that best suits that particular episode its very ambitious as I want to get it done before heaths warming eve if its possible lol. With the other jobs and shenanigans I doing out side of this it could be longer but wish me luck Bronies I hope to do our fandom proud.
I managed to find a font that’s close too the shows one for the credits so it should look not so basic now and fit in to the shows style better I may buy the actual font later on to be spot on.
I enjoy experimenting with the type design as much as the illustrations going to try and be a bit more adventurous as I am not sticking to one style of title cards now it seems after the party of one i did.
I most likely will make tiny edits to all the cards once there done I am just beginning to realize how many episodes there are too do some I forgot about until I looked at a list.

Now I'm really curious to see if you're gonna do title cards for "Return of Harmony", "A Canterlot Wedding", and "The Crystal Empire".
Then again, I love all of them!
All your other title cards have been wonderful, but this one just seems overly generic, especially as it shows the whole cast together as a group when they won't actually become friends until part 2.
