Studylight

What I enjoy most about this piece is Starlight's attitude. It just seems incredibly charming to see her study her homework with great enthusiasm. It makes me feel bad for not putting that much effort into my studying! The lighting effects are also well done, showcasing not only the three-dimensional shapes of Starlight and her chair, but also how bright the candles are and how much light they give off. I also like the bright lines surrounding the book and quill. It's a fascinating way to indicate how she's holding them with magic. If there's one complaint I have, it's the background. As always, you manage to add plenty of detail to the picture, which helps the observer get drawn into the scene. However, the background pops out way too much, and distracts from the main subject. If you could find a way to make it more out of focus, like adding a blur effect, that would be very beneficial. Other than that, this piece is very well done. It presents an intriguing idea with Twilight's former student, and it has good execution. Overall, it's really enjoyable to look at. Keep up the awesome work, Jowybean!
